History:

When Sidr and Devortrix came to Aelisus with their endless war of Chaos and Order, Devortrix began to draw power from all life in the land. While some were protected by Sidr's absolute order and other by Navith's embrace, many fell between the cracks in a cataclysmic event called The Withering. Halla seized the dwindling lifeforces of the sick and the weak, drawing them into a twisted form of death that reanimated their bodies into shambling corpses, held together by her will. Those strong enough to fight this event were still offered a chance at eternal existence outside of life, many of which jumped at the opportunity for power and immortality. Being saved, most of these corpses followed Halla, but due to the very nature of their creation, they may yet worship the God of Chaos, as all exist through its dark magic. If Devortrix is the father of Undead, then Halla would undoubtedly be its mother.

Usual Height:

Similar to their human precursors, roughly 5-7 feet.

Hometown:

Caelwyn

Religion:

It would be unheard of, and unwise for an Undead to find any religion outside of Halla or Devortrix.

Physical Features:

The undead, unlike mortal races, do not sustain themselves on food an water. Eating and drinking will provide no sustenance for the unliving at all. Instead they must feed by draining the lifeforce of any living target. They can take many forms, from full rotting fleshed corpses to near-human like, devoid of a soul. Due to their lack of bodily function, Undead do not suffer from many ailments of the living. They are immune to poison and dysentery, are resistant to plague, take reduced damage from icy or cold attacks, and resist all mental attacks, as their minds are already nearly empty.

Society:

Undead have no society other than recognizing the hierarchy of undead within the continuum. The Undead are soldiers in the battle against the living, subordinate to Vampires and Liches. They may work together when a common goal can be reached, but will be extremely loathe to work with the living unless they are absolutely sure they could convert them into the realm of death. Undead who oppose each other in cabal settings may work together, but this does not exclude them from judgement from their peers and being looked down upon by cabal leadership.

Relationships with Other Races:

All living races are simply husks that have no been hollowed out yet. Undead rarely if ever deal with the living when they are not trying to drain the life force from them.
