History:

In the distant past, the demi-giants were once a unified giant race, but some chose a different path. Those who settled along the coast, embracing the bounties of the sea and the art of fishing, eventually became known as Storm Demigiants. They realized the value of community and cooperation, a stark contrast to the harsh and solitary lives of their Hill and Fire cousins. Storm demi-giants fostered relationships with both the graceful Elves and the Aquai, recognizing the benefits of unity and diplomacy. This integration with other good races enriched their culture and imbued them with a deep sense of empathy and compassion, traits less pronounced among other demi-giants. Over time, the Storm demi-giants not only weathered the physical storms of the coastal regions but also the metaphorical storms of prejudice and isolation. They became respected members of the broader Aelisus society and found a place within the illustrious city of Atheln, known as the City of Light. Some Storm demi-giants even rose to prominent positions, using their wisdom and empathy to contribute to the betterment of their diverse world.

While many perished in this pursuit, those that survived have long since passed on such a hardiness against nature.

Society:

Storm demi-giant society is marked by its kind and thoughtful nature, a stark departure from the harshness of their Hill and Fire cousins. They have embraced the value of community and prioritize the well-being of all members, especially the weakest among them. This sense of empathy and care is deeply ingrained in their way of life. While Storm demi-giants still live relatively simple lives, their social systems are more advanced compared to their simpler cousins.
