History:

Gnomes are revered as the custodians of wisdom and knowledge. These diminutive beings, with their sharp intellects, dwell in rustic hovels nestled deep within the countryside. Gnomes, known for their gentle nature, often seek to share their wisdom with other societies. They seamlessly integrate into communities as librarians, meticulously cataloging the world's lore, or as skilled scrollmakers, preserving the secrets of magic. Legend speaks of a gnome tinkerer of extraordinary talent who fashioned an estate of wonders, but this enigmatic artisan vanished into the mists of time, leaving behind only whispers of their ingenious creations.

Usual Height:

Gnomes are diminutive, often as tall as halflings at 3-4 feet tall.

Hometown:

No known hometown, though they can be found living in hovels in the countryside.

Religion:

Gnomes, being interested in the arcane arts and their own physical contraptions, are not known to be overly religious. Those that do carry faith are overwhelmingly devoted to Azzaron, the deity of knowledge.

Physical Features:

Gnomes are small creatures with incredible perception and intellect. They tend to suffer greatly in the physical department, but make exceptional mages.

Society:

Gnome society is governed largely by the sharing of information. The most respected gnomes are those who have put in the most work, and done the most in the realm of arcane discovery and more importantly, transcription of this knowledge to share with others.

Relationships with Other Races:

Gnomes have no qualms with any races. They often exist as solitary creatures, much more interested in their work and study than interactions with other gnomes, let alone other races.
