History:

Avians have existed in Aelisus for as long as anyone can remember, though they tend to find themselves inhabiting higher elevations due to the ease at which they can travel through mountains and other difficult terrain. They were never exclusive though, allowing outsiders to make homes within their city of Cliff's Edge even though such occurrences are not common. While they prefer mountainous regions, Avians consider themselves a worldly and approachable race and also take up residence in the city of Atheln and Mugger's Alley. Very few would consider the claustrophobia of Caelwyn, as a life underground would be shunning the gift of endless flight.

Usual Height:

Approximately the same as humans; about 5 - 7 feet

Hometown:

Cliff's Edge

Religion:

Avians have no typical or formal religion, and like humans are not prone to any one way of life.

Physical Features:

Avians are bird like creatures that resemble humans. They have wings that allow them to be in constant flight and have been known to travel great distances without needing a rest. When they are not in flight, avians are able to fold their wings and rest them on their backs with the 'land' command. Because of their dependance on the wind for propulsion, they have become sensitive to disturbances in wind speed and pressure, and therefore are vulnerable to air damage. The Avian hometown of Cliff's Edge is nestled into the south of Aelisus.

Society:

Avians are renowned for embracing a wide array of classes and professions, reflecting their versatility. Whether they excel as skilled artisans, fearless adventurers, or wise scholars, they spread their wings across all aspects of Aelisian life. In this airborne society, communal bonds are strong, with Avians fostering a deep sense of unity. They celebrate their heritage through mesmerizing aerial displays.

Relationships with Other Races:

Avians, like humans, are rather widespread through Aelisus. Due to their ability to fly, they have settled in many places and therefore how no qualms with any other racial ethnicity. Avians share a spread of morals as well, so they have been known to integrate with societies of every moral compass.
