History:

The Ylsae faeries share a complex history with their Kaddar cousins. Once, they were a single species dwelling in the forests. However, survival pressures took a toll on the Kaddar, driving them towards primal and malevolent tendencies, even preying on weaker Ylsae. In contrast, the Ylsae chose unity and wisdom. They formed a steadfast alliance with the elves, their like-minded kin. Seeking safety, they established the Bungalow, a secure treetop village, and honed their craft in roguish tricks and wizardry. These skills, combined with their small size and affinity for magic, became their arsenal against predators.

Usual Height:

Ylsae are tiny, rarely ever taller than 2 feet.

Hometown:

Bungalow

Religion:

Elves are known to be devout worshippers of Navith and were among the first to follow her from her world. Many are also known to follow the different paths that are focused on nature and magic. It is very unlikely that any elf would wander along the religions of darkness, for only their kindred the drow would have dark tendencies to warrant such a choice.

Physical Features:

The Ylsae Faeries of Aelisus are a petite race, standing at a mere two feet in height. Their stature belies their enchanting charm, and they are known for their distinctive features. Most notably, they possess colorful wings, often crystal-clear but occasionally adorned with vibrant hues or crafted from pure magic, showcasing their innate connection to mystical forces. Their affinity with magic unparalleled, they naturally generate significantly more mana than others, enabling them to wield spells and arcane abilities with finesse. Furthermore, their learning capabilities are exceptional, gaining 150% more training than their peers, making them quick learners and versatile in various skills. The Ylsae naturally fly, and their tiny stature and nimbleness make them adept at stealth, capable of moving silently without being heard. This skill, combined with their immunity to faerie fire and faerie fog, makes them accomplished rogues, capable of infiltrating and outmaneuvering even the most vigilant adversaries.

Society:

Ylsae society in Aelisus is a harmonious blend of carefree joy and studious dedication. These diminutive faeries find immense pleasure in the simple act of flying, gracefully soaring through the enchanted treetops of the Bungalow, their treetop village. They revel in the freedom of the skies and the beauty of their magical world.

While many Ylsae embrace this carefree spirit, there are those among them who possess a deep thirst for knowledge and magical pursuits. These studious Ylsae dedicate themselves to honing their magical skills, delving into arcane mysteries, and pursuing magical careers with unwavering determination.

Relationships with Other Races:

The Ylsae have good relationships with most other good races, and are open to any race which does not mean them harm. The only race they despise would be their evil kaddar cousins, as past atrocities can never be forgiven.
