Azzaron does not possess knowledge. He has become it, comprehending the
totality of existence. His understanding defies any mortal sense of reason.
Yet that does not dissuade his followers from pursuing complete
enlightenment. The never-ending quest to understand Aelisus, the void, and
all that entails dominates them at every turn. Some follow Azzaron and the
quest to become all-knowing for power, others to understand. No matter the
overreaching goal, the followers of knowledge each share a hunger to know. A
desire to understand defines them. They look down upon those who do not grasp
this all-consuming quest, and they would go to any length to ensure their
wealth of understanding is secure, even battling each other in their never-
ending journey for enlightenment.
